Manitou– In the Garden of the Gods is now out!

Along with six close friends (and packing a portable recording studio) I hiked into a beautiful red rock canyon in Colorado a year ago last August. Representing over 240 years of musical performance experience, we seven musicians laid down live tracks reflecting the presence of the spirits of the canyon. Manitou, Algonquin for the spirit of a place, was chosen as a group/band name. The music from four dulcimers, guitar. bass, hand percussion and native flutes is amazing, crossing over from acoustic folk into fusion, jazz, and world genres. Essentially a free-flowing, responsive to each other musical conversation, a year and a half was spent in the mixing to ensure everyone’s “voice” was heard. It will be available soon on CD Baby as well as from I-tunes. If you prefer to deal directly with the artist, you can also order from me by sending a check for $15 (plus $3 for s&h) to Robert Force, 1228 Blaine Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368. More on the group, with bios, a short video, and a sample cut are at: http://myspace.com/manitoumanitou
